Allama Iqbal International Airport is Pakistan’s second largest and the third busiest civil airport, located in Lahore. Before 2003, it was known as ‘Lahore International Airport’.
Fantastic structure, modern facilities, and excellent management are the trademarks of this international airport. The airport daily handles about 70-80 flights and has 3 terminals: Allama Iqbal terminal (new), Hajj terminal (older) and the Cargo terminal. There are around 32 parking spaces and 2 runways for jet and commercial aircraft.
The new terminal complex is very well designed and has all the facilities according to international standards. The terminal is designed in a unique way to reflect the Mughal history. The terminal has restaurants, shopping mall, banks, duty-free shops, cafes and much more. There is also a Commercial Important Person (CIP) lounge for the business-class and first-class arriving passengers with the facilities of TV, free internet, telephones, restaurant and much more.
The airport terminal has independent arrival & departure levels, a single departure level bridge, and seven traveler boarding bridges. Car parking facility is also very good with the space available for more than 1,000 cars.
Other facilities include Climate controller, security systems, heating and ventilation systems, air conditioning, lifts, escalators and much more.
